A little bit about me:
"Why I became an EVS Volunteer ?
I have been a volunteer in France for already seven years, I worked together with seniors in hospitals, with homeless people in the center of Paris and on the streets with the Red Cross.
I wanted to learn English and to experience living in another country.
So EVS was an ideal option for me! I could learn English and get to know another country while continuing to do voluntary work, because of that I started to search for a project. I did not have a particular project or country in mind? Even though I was registered in the Internet and searched the Database, I didn’t send any applications… But! Two months after my application, EVS express project sent me an email and proposed me to work as a volunteer in Romania and to take part in their project. I accepted and just one month later I was in Romania!
My first Impressions :
First, I was really surprised by the new way of living. Romanians are very nice and helpful but when at work, they can be very strict and serious and are not always friendly.
I was surprised to see horse carriages on the streets, but also by the double-windows in some houses.
This country is really interesting and beautiful, and I want to learn more and more about it!
