Since we are volunteers of EVS express, one of our activities is to work in high school, Hidro. We work five volunteers of Millennium centre there : Baia, Nacho , Natia , Maia and Sopho. We are participants of Ecological project of this high school, where with students and teachers we make some ecological activities. Mostly we help them, but at the same time we have also our own initiatives and in this high school we are able to realize all of them.
Until now almost every week, we prepare materials and one every Thursday we meet to each other and do our activity. For example we made Christmas tree from plastic bottles, decorated pots for flowers, created clothes from old newspaper and etc.
We put the anonymous mailbox in high school, where each students or teacher can send us messages. This method is giving possibility to students to express their point of view or to give us feedback regarding our activity or our personality.
Working with them in team is really pleasure, they are so motivated, they really like what they make. I think that this is the most important. Atmosphere of high school is really nice; We are totally involved in this ecological club. And in generally we are acquiring the abilities, the competences and knowledge of working together with young people. It gives us new perspectives of initiating partnerships with other high schools or youth centers.
