Hi, i’m Maia, from Georgia, i’m 21 years old. Last year, i finished university, foreign languages faculty and now, i’m here, i’m volonteer and i’m in process of searching myself. I can tell that this is one of the reasons why i’m in Romania.
I’m first time out of my country, out of my family and for me, it is very big chance to become more independent, more active and generaly, it’s a big chance to improve myself.
My first days in Romania, in Arad were a little difficult and a little strange: new country, new situation, new people of different nation, new relation and everything was new for me; but atmosphere, people from Millenium centre and every volonteer were so warm and so friendly that i could to adapt to this situation easier. Also arrival training in Felix helped me very much; after this training, i have new friends, i have very sweet memories and what is the most important, i have new ideas, i know what i want to do as a volonteer.
My project is EVS express, „powered by corporate social responsibility”. I’ve already chosen 4 places where i can work: high school, kinder garden, kathy centre and old people centre. I have to work with 3 different generation: old people, young people and children. I know that it will not be easy, but i’m sure that it will be very interesting and very big experiance for me. So, i feel very good here and i’m ready to start my activities with full energy…
