This my article will be not very positive.. I think its really too late to write, because it was first not nice thing what i noticed in Romania. Aurolaci.. If to be exact, people, children who are sniffing all kind of inhalants..

I dont want speak why, where and how it began and why still happening, i dont want to browse in the brain, minds and past of these people, about what did or what didnt do Ceausesku and so on.. There is a few versions about this, and i dont want to be a judge. We have what we have. For example, if you walk through Elena Ghiba Birta street in Arad, you probably will meet these young people, with paint all over their faces, wild high eyes, sticky plastic bag in their hands and with big silver spots of this paint on their clothes..

What it is? Actually “Aurolac” was a name of a Romanian brand of synthetic colorant, used to prevent rusting on cars, and inhaled has strong halliucinogenic effects. But over the time “aurolac” also became in general name for all these kind of drugs. And “Aurolaci” became name for those addicts that use all kind of inhalants to get high..

Sad that its very easy to get these inhalants, they sell it in all hardware shops, about  8 RON for bottle..

All this highly toxic stuff is put into a plastic bag and then inhaled.  It causes the user to not feel hunger or cold.  It also permanently damages the brain, lungs and kidneys, among other things.  Aurolac users don’t generally live past the age of thirty. Some of the addicts spend every waking moment in a drug-addled daze.

After all, it seems that situation step by step becoming better. But there is still just a few centers and organisations who can and want to take care of these people.
