some people said of him that he s stubborn, rude and unpolite, that he s not really what we can call a party person...

he doesn t pertain to the "happy people" that such a lot of times i met here and probably he will never pertain to any kind of group...

"Is it possible he s picking up some of this rudeness from Gipsies?"; "no no no no ... he s like this, gipsies have nothing to do with it"...

how many comments about him? how many attempts to understand him? how much interest in him?

well, nobody, nobody if not very few people could understand him in these 7 months in Romania but he was never worried about it, busy how he was (and still he is) in chasing his own way, the way he tried to blaze, a trail of integration and inclusion, tollerance, humanity, solidarity, to make - if not the world - at least the small city of Arad a better place where to live...

While others where not sure of their own way, while others were supporting him before and leaving him alone after in his effort to join romanians and gipsies, while others were faking friendship to him, step by step, day by day he became able to cover at least part of this trail, sharing with tsigani the quotidian life and giving them the opportunity to get a glimpse of a different reality, a world not necessary better then theirs but for many of them unknown.

His experience was hard, full of “pathos”, of happy and difficult moments but was a real experience of volunteering, a real effort to change things..

walking on the way, thinking to my volunteering, i was making, now that my experience is about to end, some kind of assessment…

grazie toscanaccio!
